Thanks to Dr. Oz Garcia that is no longer true. I saw Dr. Oz Garcia’s Water on Daily Candy and was quite excited. I have been making my own version of this water called Sole and it’s nice to know it will now be available in stores. I am trying to restore the mineral reserves in my body which are deficient because of Candida and Acidosis. Most water in stores has been filtered and purified to the point where there is nothing left that really benefits you. So Dr. Oz Garcia has made what he calls “Oz water” which is infused with Himalayan Crystal Salt, known to the ancients as Sole.
The ancients believed Sole (from Sol meaning Sun) was liquid Sunlight or Sun water. Sole neutralizes acid, restores the mineral balance in the body, breaks down toxins and heavy metals (it’s great to drink after getting mercury fillings taken out) and provides energy for up to 24 hours. It also makes an excellent bath soak that helps draw acids out of the body which I find very helpful when I’m feeling particularly sluggish or toxic or after a massage. I had no idea about the mineral qualities of Himalayan Salt until recently and I have found it to be an amazing way to revitalize and more importantly alkalize my body. Here’s how I make Sole at home:
Recipe for Sole: 1/2 Himalayan Crystal Salt to 1/2 water (distilled alkaline water is preferable but not necessary)
Let the salt dissolve. Every few hours add some more salt. You want to keep adding salt until you have a supersaturated mixture, meaning that some of the salt won’t dissolve. When you have a mixture of water/salt that has some undissolved salt at the bottom than you’re done. I drink this every day. I take 1 teaspoon of “sole” in one glass of water in the morning. Add some lemon juice and it’s even better!

Himalayan Salt is also great for all your cooking needs and I always use it instead of table salt. I also love Celtic Sea Salt. By using these salts instead of regular table salt I am able to easily rebuild my mineral balance every day. They also taste phenomenal! Oz Water truly is amazing! I purchase it on the Oz Garcia website on a weekly basis and find my skin is healthier, I am more hydrated and feel amazing. Oz has truly found a way to make water that “tastes” great!

I have been trying to figure out how much sea salt to add to how much water. I just found your blog and it is very informitive. I have acid/alkaline problems myself. I didnt quite understand the measurements un your sole recipe. Could you elaborate for me. I would love that. Thank you….jaye

Sure Jaye! If you get crystal himalayan salt, the kind that looks like rock salt, add it to water. Start with a ratio of 3/4 water (in any container), 1/4 salt and shake it and let it dissolve. Wait about 20minutes or so. Then add some more salt, just a few more crystals and keep adding until the salt won’t dissolve. The crystals will just sit on the bottom. That means the water has absorbed all the salt it can, meaning supersaturated. You can’t over do it or do it wrong so don’t worry. Then you use 1 teaspoon of that solution in water and drink it. Don’t do more than that. More is not better. Just 1 teaspoon. I hope that helps.
