My mom calls it The Mighty Green Gulp. My dad calls it an Irish Smoothie. My brother called it gross until he drank it. I call it:
Bueller’s Green Apple Smoothie:
I drink this everyday and usually make enough to bring a bottle of it to work to have in the afternoon for the 4pm hunger pains. This is a refreshing slightly sweet drink that you will love!
1-2 kale leaves (tear or cut off spine) (optional)
1 bunch of spinach leaves (1 big handful or 2 small handfuls)
2 celery stalks (peeled if possible) or 1 cucumber
1 apple (a sweet one like a honey crisp if they are in season or an orange or a banana if you don’t have an apple)
1 avocado (optional)
1 cup coconut juice (if you have it, can also use orange juice or more water)
1 cup water
2 scoops hemp seed (for protein – you won’t even taste it) (optional)
1 scoop miracle greens
juice from 1 lemon

Put it all in your blender. I have a Vitamix Blender that I could not live without. Blend for a few minutes, starting slow than moving up to high once everything has been some what broken down. Blend until smooth. If it is too “green” tasting just add more fruit. Drink! Enjoy!

Dumb question…how big is a “scoop”?

There are no dumb questions! A scoop is a spoonful or a tablespoon? 2 tablespoons of hemp seed should work well. 1 tablespoon of green powder should work well. Most green powders come with a scooper. (green powder is optional)
Good luck! Ask me anything!

Did you use this recipe when you were fighting candida? You didn't find it too sweet? It looks very tasty…..but I'm always worried about coconut or OJ + apple + avacado…Thanks

Thanks for stopping by. When I had candida and things would flare up I would use plain water, 1/2 an apple and 1/4 of avocado and I never had a problem.
