Finally after many many conversations with Anthony about how great Au Lac is I finally got to go. Anthony and Dawn were in town on their stopover to Bali and threw a wonderful get together at Au Lac. The food was extraordinary and I’m really looking forward to going back to taste more things. Here are some pictures!

And here were a few of our main courses (I don’t know what they are really called so I’ve described them by ingredients):
Jicama and Dehydrated Cauliflower Salad
Wild Rice Avocado Zucchini Casserole
Coconut Curry Soup with Seaweed Noodles – This was delicious!
And then my favorite as always, dessert:
“Donut Holes”
Raw Chcocolates
Deb also brought Anthony two great books that look really cool:
The Fruit Hunters (all about fruit, where it comes from and why we eat it) and All Good Things Around Us (all about the edible garden)

I felt like reaching into the pictures and eating some of those foods…. Those two books also look wonderful!

I thought you were there! Too bad I didn't get to meet you. The dishes are “Fried Chicks” and Rice, Curried Rice, Laksa Soup, Donut Holes (my fav also) and raw chocolate candies. Hopefully now you can make it back for some more of Ito's delicious food.

I ate at and love Au, but being so long distance, it's a treat to get pictures here. I don't know what I ate back when, but it was delish regardless. I wish I had some idea on recipes like Fried Chicks maybe. Ito is an unbelievable chef. Love this new blog I just discovered.
